✴️Gang Ranks

Customizable and renamable Gang Ranks offer an immersive foundation for your criminal organizations.

What are Gang Ranks

Gang ranks represent the internal hierarchy of a gang, defining a structured chain of command, responsibilities, and access to certain features or permissions within the organization. Each gang type—such as Syndicate, Mob, Cartel, Motorcycle Club, or South Side—comes with its own set of default ranks that reflect its culture, values, and style of operation.

Default Ranks and Customization

The default ranks for each gang type are predefined and stored in the sv_gangtypes.lua file. These default ranks were designed to reflect the lore and organizational structure typical of each gang type. For example:

  • Syndicates have professional titles like Operative, Director, and Chairman.

  • Mobs follow a traditional hierarchy with roles like Caporegime, Consigliere, and Don.

  • Cartels use militarized and command-based roles such as Sicario and Patron.

  • Motorcycle Clubs incorporate biker culture with ranks like Prospect, Road Captain, and President.

  • South Side gangs reflect street-level status, with ranks like Shot Caller, General, and Kingpin.

Renaming and Rank Management

Rename Gang Ranks

While default ranks are provided, they are not permanent. Players with the appropriate permission level (typically gang leaders) have the ability to rename gang ranks to better fit their faction’s identity or roleplay style. This flexibility allows gangs to evolve and personalize their structure while still benefiting from the built-in hierarchy system.

For example, a Motorcycle Club could rename Sergeant At Arms to Warlord, or a South Side gang might change Youngin to Foot Soldier. These changes are purely cosmetic and do not affect the underlying mechanics unless paired with additional role-based functionality in your system.
